Franz Lopez

Franz Lopez is a travel photographer and a photojournalist who's passionate about reviving the love for traditional film photography. His expertise revolves around creative visual storytelling.

 

Aside travel Photography, he works for the online news site Rappler. From daily news coverage, Franz has been deployed to document natural disasters like the Bohol quake (2013), Typhoon Haiyan (2013), and the Taal Eruption (2020), among others. 

 

He also directs creative visual content for Rappler’s Brandrap. Franz started his passion for photography at the age of 10. Since then, he has been captivated by stories of inspiration, passion, and creativity.

 

He has been featured on ABS-CBN’s #NoFilter documentary “Isang Libong Salita” where he talks about his love for photography.

 

Aside from his work, Franz spearheads Born in Film who leads the non-profit community of visual creatives that has grown to more than 11,000 members worldwide called PhotoNation International.

For sales of the pieces on display at the Ortigas Art Festival 2021, the photographer has decided to put these photos for donation to the causes of PhotoNation and Born in Film. All proceeds shall be donated to the group, and the community.
