Jophel Ybiosa


Mr. Jophel Botero Ybiosa is a world-class and multi-award winning Filipino artist with 360 local and international honors. He´s a 10-time Ani ng Dangal Awardee for Visual Arts (National Commission for Culture and the Arts), a Topnotch Filipino Artist and Professional Leadership Awardee (Asia-Pacific Luminare Awards), a Bagong Bayani Awardee for Culture and the Arts, an Outstanding Alumnus for Arts and Culture of Culiat High School and Notable Alumni Awardee for Visual Arts of Polytechnic University of the Philippines – College of Communication.


He’s the Founder and Executive Director of an award-winning arts and advocacy group – the Team Juan Makasining (2017 Asia-Pacific Excellence Awardee for Outstanding Arts and Advocacy Organization) and works as a Master Photographer/Platinum Artist of Princess Cruise Lines and Special Lecturer at Polytechnic University of the Philippines.


He´s also recently appointed as one of the SSCC Youth Ambassadors for Cultural Diplomacy. He's a gold member of Professional Photographers Asia Community, a member of Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers (United Kingdom), a member of Master Photographers International Organization (Canada), a member of WPE Awards Europe (France), Federation of Philippine Photographers’ Foundation (FPPF) and Art Ventures and Advocacy Network. As an artist, his primary purpose is to share with the world the positive images, inherent beauty, cultural identity and meaningful story of the Philippines.


Some of his historic achievements are the following: First Filipino to win a Gold Award in New York Photo Fair, First Filipino to win a 1st Prize in Chromatic Photography Awards, First Filipino to win a 1st Place in Neutral Density Photography Awards, First Filipino to win 1st Place in the Events Photography Competition of the Societies of International School and Event Photographers, First Filipino to win Events Photographer of the Year and included in the Best of Show Exhibition of Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA), First Filipino to win 1st Prize in the Photographic Angle International Photography Competition, One of the first Filipino Gold Medalists in the World Art Camp Olympiad, First Filipino to win a Grand Prize in ASEAN-Korea Multimedia Competition and Two-time Best Photograph in Global Festival Photography Competition (Indonesia).
