Von Serrano began photography in 2019 when he joined free basic photography classes online. He decided to transition into film photography in 2020 and fell in love with the complexity and artistry of 35mm. Von says photography opened up a new world for him to meet friends who share the same passion that inspires him to continuously work on his. Von believes that it’s important to surround yourself with people who are in the same wavelength and share the same interests as you. The more you immerse yourself in groups such as PhotoNation, the more opportunities you get to improve your craft. In turn, you will also receive so much support from the community.
For sales of the pieces on display at the Ortigas Art Festival 2021, the photographer has decided to put these photos for donation to the causes of PhotoNation and Born in Film. All proceeds shall be donated to the group, and the community.
