On August 24, join us in the historic walled city of Intramuros, Manila, as Born in Film, Intramuros Administration, JG Superstore, and Kodak Philippines come together to celebrate World Photography Day. 

This event will honor one of the earliest photographs ever taken, captured in front of the Ayuntamiento.  

The day will feature a photowalk through some of Intramuros’ most scenic spots, including Plaza San Luis Complex, Calle Real, Fort Santiago, Baluarte de San Diego, and Plaza Roma. Participants will have the chance to capture the enduring beauty of these historic sites.  

The event will also include a series of free lectures on topics such as the history of photography in the Philippines, photography basics, creative visual storytelling, and film development techniques. Pre-registration is required for the lectures, but walk-ins will be accommodated on a limited basis.  

Additionally, attendees can enter a photo contest, explore a vintage camera exhibit featuring Eastman Kodak cameras from the early 1900s, and enjoy complimentary rides on the Tranvia. 

Freebies and special promotions will be available throughout the day.  

Everyone is welcome to attend and experience the rich heritage of photography in Manila’s historic district.
