Not so long ago, Maritess Ortigas attended two years of formal photography classes as part of the curriculum for a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts major in Advertising. To this day, she hasn’t stopped learning and being a photographer. She believes that photography is the universal language that speaks to the heart. The bold colors and the beauty around us catch her eyes and inspire her to create and capture images. She believes that photography is the only medium that can defeat time, keep a memory of a loved one alive, and hold a moment otherwise gone.
