Ricky Ladia is a professional photographer whose career spans more than three decades, beginning in the 1980s with a spark of curiosity that quickly ignited into a lifelong passion. Whatstarted as a hobby soon evolved into a thriving career marked by creative versatility, technical mastery, and a deep commitment to the craft.

Ricky first developed his skills working with advertising and publishing companies in the Philippines and the Middle East. Over the years, he transitioned to freelance photography, allowing him to work across a wide range of industries and expand his creative portfolio. He has contributed to leading publications such as People Asia, Eastgate Publishing, Solar, ABS-CBN, and Hinge Inquirer Publications. His commercial and advertising work includes collaborations with some of the most respected names in real estate, hospitality, and lifestyle, including Ayala Land, Federal Land, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Grand Hyatt Manila, Hilton Hotels, and Solaire Resort and Casino.
Known for his flexible, multi-genre approach, Ricky proudly calls himself a “generalist photographer.” He thrives on variety, and his expertise in artificial lighting—ranging from strobist setups to advanced studio systems—has become a hallmark of his style. As a passionate mentor, Ricky regularly conducts workshops in the Philippines, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. He is also active in the local photography community, sharing his knowledge through camera club talks and photography judging panels.
Ricky is a trusted collaborator of top global photography and tech brands. He has worked with
Nikon, Tamron, Gitzo, Phottix, G-Technology, Nanlite, 7artisans, and Laowa Lenses PH. He was part of Datacolor’s “Friends with Vision” and currently serves as a Fujifilm Philippines X-Photographer, Brand Ambassador for Godox PH and Radiant Photo PH, and Key Opinio Leader for Wacom Philippines and Sandisk. He also receives support from Asus ProArt, Summit Creative, Seagate/Lacie, Haida Filters, and Leofoto.
